Bajaj Auto motorcycle sales rise 9 pct in Feb
Bajaj Auto said that it has reported a 9 per cent increase in motorcycle sales at 2,35,282 units in February 2016.
The company had sold 2,16,077 units in the year ago period, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total vehicle sales last month stood at 2,72,719 units, up 12 per cent, as against 2,43,319 units in the same month a year earlier.
However, the two-wheeler major said its exports declined by 12 per cent during the month to 98,959 units from 1,12,909 units in the corresponding year-ago period.
In the commercial vehicles category, Bajaj Auto's sale during the month stood at 37,437 units, up 37 per cent, as against 27,242 units in February 2015.
Meanwhile, shares of the company were trading at Rs 2232.60 apiece, down 1.21 per cent from the previous close at 12:44 hours on BSE.
